Castable refractory types:
According to the density: heavy (> 2.0g/cm3), medium weight (1.0-2.0g/cm3) and light weight (0.4-1.0g/cm3);
According to the binder: hydration, chemical combination, condensation, hydration and condensation.
According to the material: clay, high alumina, siliceous, magnesia, aluminum magnesia, magnesia chrome, magnesium zirconium, carbonaceous siliceous material.
Models of refractory castables:
According to the classification of stomatal rate, binder and aggregate, it is often classified by using temperature or function in actual use.
According to stomatal rate, it is often devided into dense refractory castable and insulating refractory castables with less than 45% porosity.
According to the binder, it can be divided into water hardness binder, chemical combination and cohesive combination refractory castable.
According to the refractory aggregate divided into clay aggregate (Al2O3 30% – 45%), high alumina aggregate (Al2O3 26% – 45%), siliceous aggregate (SiO2 26% – 85%, Al2O3 26%- 10%), alkaline aggregate ( magnesite, dolomite etc.), special aggregate (carbon, carbides, nitrides, spinel, zircon stone and etc.) and insulation aggregate (perlite, vermiculite, ceramsite, cenosphere, light brick sand, cement clinker, porous alumina hollow ball etc.).
